Come to Wellington, the “coolest little capital city of the world” (according to Lonely Planet!)
We have available a modest but cozy, little detached townhouse in a quiet location of the eastern suburb of Miramar. The house consists of one double and one single bedroom (a fold-up bed is also available), separate WC and bathroom. Combined kitchen/living area where big windows open out to a little garden.
The house is fully equipped with broadband access, fixed line phone, TV, DVD-player, complete kitchen with microwave, washing machine and dryer.
A car (Subaru Legacy GT) is available if required.
A two minute walk will take you to a major supermarket, restaurants, bars, cinema and two bus routes. Each takes about 20 min. to reach the city center.
Wellington is an excellent base to explore both the North and the South Islands as the inter-island car ferries are located here. Our house is well situated as a returning base for travelling all over New Zealand as well as just enjoying Wellington's renowned city life.
An alternative option you may wish to consider is extending your stay in this part of the world. We have a 2011 Hyundai i30 Wagon in Queensland, Australia. We are a retired couple (59/66, non-smokers) that enjoy travelling to new destinations. Brian (from NZ) is a former accountant and Gro (from Norway) is a former classical singer/choir conductor and municipal head officer. We have spent the last 10 years travelling or house minding in Australia and Europe. House swapping may now be another way of experiencing the world?
