Description of our house

We have a modern two bedroom house (150 m2) situated on the lower half of the North Island. We are on a bus route and near a train station for easy access to Wellington. The house is fully equipped and has a modern open plan kitchen/dining room opening onto a patio with a BBQ. There is a separate lounge, and the main bedroom has a queen size bed with a firm mattress and plenty of packing and hanging space. The second bedroom has two beds with firm mattrasses and a large built in cupboard. The house has a modern bathroom with a bath and shower. There is a separate toilet with basin. The laundry is in the internal access single garage, with a front loader washing machine, dryer and tub. The house is carpeted throughout except the kitchen, bathroom and toilet which are tiled and it is a comfortable easy care home. We have a small well kept garden requiring minimal maintenance and a gardening service contractor maintains the lawns. There are TV's in the lounge, kitchen and main bedroom as well as a DVD recorder/player and Sky TV. There is a broadband connection and a modem providing wireless computer access throughout the house.

Paraparaumu Beach is an easy going friendly place to stay and is 55 km from Wellington. There is a convenient bus service and train service for travel around the area and to Wellington. Interesting places and things to do include gliding, golf, helicopter rides, fishing, beach and nature walks, a vintage car museum, a park with working vintage trams and other interesting attractions, a good visitors bureau, an aquatic centre for swimming and a pleasing suburb to explore on foot.
