Our house is a modern comfortable 2 storey home with 3 bedrooms plus an office with computer facilities. It has a large modern well equipt kitchen, family room, separate dining room and a large lounge with wide screen TV and Sky. We have air conditioning on both levels. We also have a spa pool. We have a compact sunny site with vege, flower and herb gardens, outdoor living and gas barbeque. We also have a holiday home on the shores of Lake Taupo, which could be included as part of the exchange. We are also happy to include a car in the exchange.

Our house is situated up a private lane with 5 other homes in central Hamilton. We are close to Waikato river bank walks and shops, 10 minute walk to the city centre, and on a bus route. Hamilton is an inland city of 130000 inhabitants, visit the web site http://www.visithamilton.co.nz We are 90 minutes drive south of Auckland, the main gateway to New Zealand. Hamilton also has a well serviced airport. We are 80 minutes drive from Tauranga and the east coast beaches, and 40 minutes drive from Raglan and the west coast beaches. We are also within easy reach of a lot of tourist attractions such as the Rotorua thermal region, Waitomo Gloworm Caves, Lake Taupo, http://www.laketauponz.com and Mt Ruapehu ski fields. We are John and Olwen, an active married couple in our sixties, recently retired, with a grown up family. We love the outdoors, we ski, play golf, mountain bike, and like to take walks. We have travelled extensively and have recently experienced three wonderful exchanges in France. We love France and are keen to do an exchange in the Burgundy region with the intention of cycling the region with a couple of friends in June/July 2011. NZ in January through to the end of March experiences warm settled weather 25 - 30 degrees C and is the best time to visit.
