Woodhill is approximately 35 minutes from the centre of Auckland City. It is a lovely rural area with the Woodhill Forest just a few kilometres away. There are many activities in the forest such as mountain bike riding and the exciting Tree Adventures. Muriwai surf beach with the famous Gannet Colony is approximately 15 minutes drive. We are also about 35 mins drive from the North Shore of Auckland with all the beautiful sandy bays and beaches. There are several wineries close by, also several golf courses. There is also bathing in the Hot Springs at Paraki which is 7 mins drive. Closest shopping (Helensville) is 7 mins drive. Woodhill is approximately 35 minutes from the centre of Auckland City. Myself (Barbara) and my husband (Terry) have been retired now for 3 years and we love living where we do. It's a lovely environment and we consider ourselves very fortunate. Be assured we will take great care of your home as we do our own home.
We love to travel and look forward every 2 years to seeing our son, his wife and our 2 young granddaughters in England and visiting other places from there. We also like to break our journey by stopping somewhere half-way between NZ and England and again on our return home. This year (2012) we are departing NZ at the end of May and returning in mid September.
We look forward to taking part in Home Exchanges in the future and also to meeting people should they stay in our apartment whilst we are here at Willow Lake.
