Our home is a large wooden, character bungalow built in the 1920s. It has many original features such as the bay windows, native rimu polished floors and high plastered ceilings and yet it has been rennovated and modernized to facilitate an open plan style of living, with 2 separate lounges, a large dining room and an open plan kitchen complete with breakfast bar. Each living area opens out with French doors onto decks to catch the morning and afternoon sun. There is a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture on the decks so as to make the most of the outdoor lifestyle. The garden is fenced and private. Our home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and an office with a wireless internet connection. Sky digital TV, VCR, and DVD is available in the lounge.

We are located in a quiet suburban street and neighbourhood. Being centrally located in a large city like Auckland, yet in a quiet suburban area, provides the best of both worlds, tranquility and yet very easy access to all the activities and facitilies that a large city offers. We are 3-4 minutes drive to St Lukes,a large shopping mall which provides all facilities that you require including a supermarket, foodcourt, movie theatre, restaurants and shops. We are just 7 minutes drive via motorway to the CBD. Here you have access to all the major sites and activites including the Viaduct restaurant area, Sky City Casino, Museum, Art Gallery, bungy jumping, the bridge climb, and the many beaches that surround Auckland, such as Mission Bay - a popular destination with a great beach, restaurants and kayak and bike hire for riding around the waterfront. For surfing, we are just 30 minutes to the West Coast beaches such as Piha. This area is renowned also for its many native bush walks and trekking. It is very easy to get out of town and experience nature and all that New Zealand has to offer as far as open spaces, deserted beaches, forest and bush walks, islands, horse riding etc. We are within walking distance to the zoo, just 20 minutes away and the beautiful Western Springs park with a lake full of swans, geese and ducks. We are a family of 5,with three children, one boy and 2 girls aged 15, 13 and 10. We also have 2 cats, twinkle, Lucy and a small dog Maddie. As a couple we have lived in a number of countries abroad over a 12 year period, including Spain, Belgium, Brazil, England and Chile. The children were born in Chile and we lived there for 6 years. We finally settled back in New Zealand and have been in NZ now for 8 years. We however would love to have the opportunity to spend some time again in some of the countries we loved including Portugal and South America and also give the children the opportunity to experience other cultures as well. We speak Spanish and Portuguese.
