Our neighborhoodStroll into Takapuna or Devonport Navel Village via the beach, visit the many shops and cafes in the area, climb the volcanoes, sail to local islands only 20mins away, Ferry into Auckland 10 mins away, Hire Bikes and visit markets, beaches or the busy harbour. Cyclem Sail, stroll or sit and relax over Latte & people watch. Devonport historical Navel village with boutique shops, cafes, bars, great dining, beaches, cinema. Takapuna, shops, cafes, bars, Great safe swimming beaches, markets, cinema, ten pin bowling, great atmosphere, come and see for yourself. Maori cultural shows, Lord of the Rings, great base for visiting Rororua, Bay of Islands, lots of local wineries and islands, Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, and More. Kayak, see dolpins, Orcas, Walk, Tramp, visit Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings country. Something about ourselvesCouple, Lynda & John late 40's grown up kids, ex UK. Moved here as we wanted a place close to beaches as we enjoy walking and wanted safe swimming but also wanted to be close to the city and countryside and we have found that instead of setteling down, weve become more active, fasinated by all the things to do and see here, its a safe place and the people are very friendly. ( providing your support the All Blacks of course) Food & wine is cheap and theres plenty of variety, its easy to dine out and children are catered for in restaurants.
