We offer a modern apartment in the centre of The Hague. It has 2 bedrooms, one with two beds, the other with a bunk bed and a separate bed. In the living room there is a couch that can also be extended to sleep two persons. There is a bathroom with a bath tub and a separate shower, the guest toilet is separate. A large storage room also contains a new washing machine and tumbler/dryer. In the large living room you have a nice view of the centre of the Hague, and access to a balcony where you can enjoy the setting of the sun. The apartment has a wooden floor throughout. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, microwave-cum-oven, dishwasher and induction cooking, as well as plenty of storage room. Because we are six floors up, it is really quiet even though we are right in the centre of The Hague. Entrance is downstairs with a video surveillance system, also downstairs is the parking garage with room for one car. You can also use our bikes, kept in the storage room at ground level.

The apartment is only 100 m from the main train station of The Hague (Den Haag CS), and from there you can take trains to anywhere in Holland (for instance, Amsterdam is only 30mins away by train). Trams and buses will take you anywhere in the city. The Hague is renowned for its parks and beautiful beach in Scheveningen (15 mins away by tram). The main shopping area is by foot only 5 mins. There are lots of musea, nice restaurants, cinemas, theatres, concert halls- opportunities to enjoy yourself abound! Something about ourselves

We are a Dutch family of 5; three children: a girl of 15, and two boys of 12 and 10. Dirk works as a HR professional in Zurich sinds 2007, Lydia works from home as a translator/editor. We have never before exchanged homes but would like to try, since we have heard positive stories about these exchanges. Our boys are asthmatic but fortunately have no allergies, so we do not smoke but do own a dog (4 yr old Frisian Stabyhoun).
