Our house is comfortable, nostalgic and spacious. It has a large open kitchen that flows into the living room. On the terrace you have a fantastic view on the underlying vineyards and pastures, including fruit orchards. In the summer we spend more time outside in the garden and on the terrace than inside. There are a total of 6 beds in 3 bedrooms, but for 4 people the house is really well suited. Our house is comfortable, nostalgic and spacious. In the living room you look out over the village street and back on countryside: vineyards, fruit trees and meadows.
300 meters away is the station of the steam Hoorn-Medemblik, and 300 meters in the other direction is an outdoor pool.
Hoorn is a beautiful old city with much history VOC.
From the station there you are in 35 minutes in Amsterdam.
We live in a small villiage (Wognum) with friendly neighbours. In our street are farmers, fruitgrowers and a vineyard. There are several options to explore our neighbourhood by hike, bike or car. In our village is a shopping mall with a supermarket, bookshop, bank and several other shops. In our part of the Netherlands are many cities with an historical centre (Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Medemblik, Edam, Alkmaar and Volendam. The centre of Amsterdam is 30 minutes from our home. The international airport (Schiphol) is 40 minutes. The coastline with beautiful beaches is 45 minutes. There are public swimmingpools (inside and outside), golfcourses, tenniscourts and gym nearby. You can also visit; Zoo, Zaanse Schans, Afsluitdijk, Beemster (Unesco heritage centre), Waddenzee, indoor playground. We are Nanda and Peter, have been married for 32 years and have 3 daughters who do not live at home anymore. I - Nanda - work in a hospital as a radiologic technologist and my husband Peter is a developer. We love going on holidays to many countries in Europe and beyond. We have a grandson ,1 year old, so we also have a little bed, childseat etc.
Our oldest daughter lives in the neighbourhood so she can answer your questions when you are in our house.
