Where we want to go
Description of our house
From our front windows you'll see the canal (Vliet) and the golfcourse Rijswijk. At the back you'll see the citypark (Elsenburgerbos) populated by approx 20 horses. Our garden is large and sunny and contains an open fireplace (BBQ). Our house is stand alone, but we do have 2 nextdoor neighbours. Inside we have 4 bedrooms (7 sleeps), 2 bathrooms, a TV-room (dvd player; good stereo; iPod dockstation) and a warm and inviting livingroom-kitchen with a big sitting corner and fireplace with 'open doors' to the garden. The whole house has central heating and wireless internet. In the garden we have a gardenhouse with 4 adult bikes, 1 junior-bike and gardenchairs. We believe that our house is situated in a quiet place (in park), but in fact in the middle of the busy city-live, is furthermore very comfortable, cosy and has - in summertime - also (due to garden) characteristics of a summerhouse.

For mobility purposes: Although our address is located in Rijswijk, our house is closer to Delft then to the citycentre of Rijswijk. From our house it is: (a) 15 minutes by bike to train station Delft (from there every 15 minutes trains leave to Amsterdam in 30 minutes ride) (b) 20 minutes by tram to centre The Hague (c) 40 minutes by tram to beaches of Scheveningen (PS: from our house it is a 10 minutes walk to the tram-stop in Delft) (d) 75 minutes by bike to beaches of Kijkduin (or 20 minutes by car). The city of The Hague has numerous spots of interest. Beaches, city-live, theatre, cinemas, restaurants, etc. Delft is smaller and more cosy. And Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Leiden are just "around the corner".
Something about ourselves
We are Therese and Ron, both 50(+), and have 2 children. Malu is 18 and Mats is 15. Therese works for a theatre (youth) group and Ron is an airline employe. Field hockey and soccer are the sports of our children. Therese and me have been together for some 20 years and have visited many continents before the children were born. Portugal was our favorite country the last 10 years, but now we would like to share the feeling of visiting the other continents. The age of Malu and Mats is okay enough to show how nice and exciting it can be to meet people and get impressions of other places/continents abroad.
