Description of our house

A large, 3 and a half store house. The house is old (1905) and "€˜Dutch"€™ build, which means, narrow, long, and high. You enter the house through a small hall where you can hang your coats, leave your shoes etc. From this point you can go upstairs or enter the living room. The living room is 10 meter long and 5 meter wide. We build a€™ book case on weels, which gives the room a special atmosphere. There is a stereo, a sofa, a TV, a piano, a large dining table with 6 chairs. Next to it is a WC. From the living room you can go directly to the garden, or go 5 stairs down to the small but cozy kitchen, or still go up the other 5 stairs to a small bed room. Upstairs there is a music studio with a good piano, guitars and percussion. You can use it, if we agree about it. It is my working place and it has wooden walls, ceiling and floor. Next to it is a two person sleeping room, the bathroom, a second WC and a small room for storage and laundry . On the second floor there are 2 more large sleeping rooms. It is a specious attic where 2 to 4 people can sleep.

The house is situated in a neighbourhood off centre of town. It is a quite, but lively neighbourhood. You can hear the birds in the morning, the train vaguely from a distance or kids playing outside. 5 minutes walk form the house is a beautiful park with old trees, dears and ducks. A street away is the neighbourhood €˜shopping street€™. It has a typical Dutch cheese shop, a baker, a fish shop, a butcher, a vegetable shop, winery etc. Supermarkets are also not far, and the centre of town is 10 minutes walk, 3 minutes by bike. Dordrecht is a historical town with lots of things to see and to visit. A few museums, the old municipality house, the big church, the gate at €˜Groothoofd€™. The narrow old streets keep the old atmosphere. Dordrecht is one hour drive from Amsterdam, 45 minutes from Antwerp, and 15 minutes from Rotterdam. Something about ourselves

I am Nava, 49, musician, teacher, pianist and choir conductor, originally from Israel. My partner Arno is 42, works as a computer programmer, but is also a wonderful musician. I have two sons of 19 and 24, they both live and study in Amsterdam. Usually we will be traveling only the two of us. I am allergic to cats and dogs, exchange with those pets in the house is unfortunately impossible for me.
