The location of the apartment is in the inner Canal district with 17th century houses and historic buildings. Must-see places like the Anne Frank house, Westerkerk, restaturants and cafe's are at your doorstep.
This area is considered the most beautiful in Amsterdam for it is surrounded by Canals: Prinsengracht, Bloemgracht, Egelantiersgracht and Lijnbaansgracht and the Jordaan with its many "Hofjes", spectacular views from the numerous Canalbridges. Lots of movies are therefor shot here.
Since the major Canals are shaped in a horseshoe, all place of interest are in walking distance: musea, artgaleries, (music)theatres, shops, markets and nightlife, parcs (like the famous Vondelparc. Or you do as the Amsterdammers do, take a bike.
Transport to and from the apartment is easy and fast. Bus, tram or metro are only a 3 min walk- away and all( international)trains a 10 min. walk to the Central station, so no car needed or even advised.
If you do not want to walk, bike, use tram or bus, there is also the Center Circle bus, its route goes just around the corner and will take you to the major museums like the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum in less than ten minutes.
Use of a car is also possible via our membership.
In the Jordaan, you'll find a big choice of excellent restaurants like Thai, Indonesian, French, Italian, many take-aways and groceriestores, butchers, patisserie, cheese shops. Several open markets can be found just round the corner. The location of the apartment is in the inner Canal district with 17th century houses and historic buildings.
