Our house is semi-attached with a nice private garden and private parking space for two cars. The living on the ground floor has a fireplace, There is a big flatscreen tv and a Bose soundsystem, The kitchen is new and has a dining area. The first floor has one master bedroom, and two smaller bedrooms(one with computer). The bathroom has a shower and a Jacuzzi-bath. At the addic there is a little bar.

Our house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood with a shopping center on 5 minutes walking distance. There is also a busstop to the towncenter and trainstation. Hoorn is situated at Hollands biggest lake with a pittoresque harbour, many shops and restaurants. Nearby there are more old (fishing) villages. It is an halfhour drive by car - ours is available - or train to Amsterdam. In 45 minutes by car you are at the Northsea coast. Neighbourcountries Belgium and Germany are only a few hours away. We are Gerda (56) en Sierk (63) Noordhoff. Sierk is a retired journalist and Gerda is a social worker for elderly people. We travelled around quiet a bit, but we would like to stay some time longer on one spot to learn the locals and the local life better.
