Our house has been renovated completely in 2005. In the old days it was used as a shop, with the people living in the rear part of the building. The entrance is now our library with a 4 meter high bookshelf. Behind the entrance there is the main floor, with dining room, living room and contemporary kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, stove). On the same floor is a washing machine (no dryer) and a powder room (wall mount toilet). On the second floor is the master bedroom (queen size mattress), a study and a guest room which is also used as play room (with TV). On this floor there is also a powder room (wall mount toilet) and a very nice bathroom with bathtub, 2 wall mount sinks, and a separate shower. The third floor has 3 bedrooms where the kids sleep, and there is a second beautiful bathroom with separate shower, bath and toilet. The garden is big for Amsterdam standards, about 60m˛ with a shed and facing south. In the summer all the flowers and plants blossom abundant. You won't get lost in this lovely and spacious 185m˛ apartment but it is quite large for city standards.

Our house, or (officially) apartment is beautifully located on a historic canal in a quite part of the Amsterdam City Centre. This part of Amsterdam is called the 'Plantage' (http://www.amsterdamsights.com and is one of the most beautiful parts of Amsterdam. Our house is from 1890. There are lots of sights in the vicinity. With just steps away are the Hermitage, the Artis Zoo, the Skinny Bridge and Royal Theatre Carré. Although you can do everything by foot or by bike, in case you would like to take the subway, the closest station is just a 3 minute walk away. Our apartment is also convenient located if you decide to take the car. But beware: parking in Amsterdam is expensive. With your rent-a-bike you can easily tour the whole city.

We are 2 professionals with degrees from the University of Amsterdam. One is Psychologist and the other entrepreneur. We take good care of our house, and we hope you will do so too. We have three kids (two girls and a boy), born 2003, 2005 and 2008. Looking to travel for 4-6 weeks in July-August 2012. Prefer to do camper/RV - house swap in Canada/US. More than one exchange welcome. Weekend exchanges in Europe before and after summer holidays always welcome. In spring (28/4-6/5) or fall (20-28/10) like to go to Spain (Mallorca/Ibiza), Italy, France or somewhere special:)
