*N/A for july & August* - We offer a beautiful, modern apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 home-office room, a luxurious open kitchen, a balcony, an elevator, and a great view over the Jordaan area and the water (you can see boats passing by all day!). It is very quiet because the street /square (at the water) is car-free. Inside the building are a gym, an Italian restaurant with an outside terrace and view at the water, a bagels & beans, and a library. Because the appartment is in one of the towers of the building it is a quarter-circle which gives it a very playful, cosy feeling, and the view is different in every room. The living room is very spacious, with a semi-open fully equipped Siematic kitchen (incl. Italian espresso machine) with dining area, a big plasma TV with digital TV, a high quality surround sound audioset, an electric piano, and nice modern furniture. The master bedroom has a TV with dvd-player and a great big 220m x 180m Auping bed. The smaller bedroom has a single bed, plus (if needed) an extra mattress. The bathroom has a bath and shower, and in the hallway there is a separate toilet and a closet with washing machine and dryer. We have (very!) hi-speed wireless internet, and there's a small home-office perfect to do some work in. The building was built in 2001 and in 2005 won the "European urban land institute award"

![]() Our neighborhood
Ideally located at the border of the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood (but officially just in the Westerpark area) in the centre of Amsterdam, with 100s of bars, restaurants, galleries, clubs, coffeeshops, the Anne Frank house, the canals, etc. within walking distance. Also within walking distance is a very nice park (the westerpark) with cultural centre the westergasfabriek that consists of several galleries, clubs, a cinema, great terraces, restaurants, etc. For your daily shopping you won't have to walk for more than 1 minute, there's a great night-shop very close that also sells delicacies, and we have a biological bakery that we love right around the corner. There's a bus-stop in front of the building (which takes you to the central station in a couple of minutes) and trams to the big squares and big shopping streets go all day and take only a couple of minutes (you can also walk or even better, take the bike like we do!). The beaches of Zandvoort or the very hip & trendy Bloemendaal with all its beach clubs are only about 35 minutes by public transport away, or even less by car. We think the neighborhood we live in is just fantastic: it's close to all the area's you would like to go to in Amsterdam (it's not that big as most people think!) but it's not crazy like the center-center where you will hear trams, cars, and people all day. ---- In case of a longer stay: from Amsterdam you can be in London, Paris, Berlin, etc. in just a couple of hours...! Something about ourselves
We are a young (27 & 32), happy, open-minded, married couple with our own company in music & events. For example: mixing music for a fashion show or organizing an event for a PR company. We work mainly from home and are very flexible: most of the time we don't need anything but a laptop with internet to be able to work. We don't smoke. We like watching movies, going out, enjoying nice restaurants, etc. We travel a lot, also for our work, and we love it. Exploring new cities is one of our favourite things... but we get a bit tired of hotel rooms. It's always so expensive, you can't cook yourself, and there is never any space to relax. This is why exchanging houses seems like a good idea. We love our house and take good care of it.. we will do the same for your house, and we expect the same in return. We don't necessarily need a place as big as our place for exchange, a nice 50 m2 place is fine for us as well! Everything is possible, just one week, or maybe on month or even more... just contact us. When we do an exchange with you we will make you a nice insiders guide to Amsterdam so you will get the most out of your stay. This summer we can not do any exchanges... In September or October we'd love to go to New York (Manhattan or Williamsborough Brooklyn). London, Rome, and Paris are also in the top of our list. Next year June it would be great to go to Barcelona, where we always go for Sonar. ![]()
