Description of our house

We love our home: it is very cozy, comfortable and clean, with some very nice antique details(stained glass windows). Expecially people coming from abroad just love our house! It is a corner house of a row. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with open dining room with its fireplace (from here you have access to the cozy rear covered terrace), a living room with a little veranda where there are a.o. a white leather sofa, piano, flatscreen tv. There are beautiful sliding doors between the living room and the dining room. On the same floor there is a hall and a separate toilet. On the first floor there is spacious master bedroom with its own bathroom (with a.o. shower and toilet), and a study/living room with fireplace, a double sofa bed and computer. On the second floor there is a bedroom for three (double bed on brand new cozy loft and a wide 1 person sofa bed in its living area), a bedroom with single bed that can be turned into a double bed, and a bathroom with hot tub. From this floor there is a very nice view of the typical dutch neighbourhood. At the rear and the front of the house there is a private little garden with flowers, chairs.... all parquet floors have been redone recently (after having taken the pictures!!). Study on first floor and second floor have just been renewed! Our neighbours are all nice and friendly! For more pictures, contact us!

Our home is located in a quite and green characteristic residential area, couple of meters from a beautiful canal, just outside Amsterdam..... in fact, Amsterdam starts just behind our house! The neighbourhood is very green and just 2 min. walking from the huge 'Amsterdamse Bos', where you find woods, lakes and canals. Ideal for swimming, fishing, canoing, biking and skating! From the house there is a beautiful view on huge trees and the canal. Supermarket is nearby. Parking is free and just in front of the house: parking in Amsterdam is quite expensive, so when going there, leave the car home and go by public transport!! The city center is easy to be reached in just 15 minutes: 2 min. walking to the busstop where you can catch any bus (night buses too!). At 10 min. walking, there are tram and metro stops too. Schiphol airport is just 20 min. away, by taxi or car, but our house can be reached easily by public transport too. The location of our home is the ideal place to discover some other parts of holland too: of course amsterdam, and keukenhof, the coast, volendam, the windmills, small characteristic villages, utrecht (30 min.) and the hague (45 min.), the huge deltawork on the see, nightlife and shopping in the city! holland is fun for children too: lots of activities, places to go for them and shows!! a nice time of the year to be here is the 30th of april: Queen's birthday!!! We are Luc (from The Netherlands) and Cristina (from Italy)! We are both professionals: Luc is working for a bank and Cristina is a therapist. We have two cute daughters of 11 and 13! We are a nice, joyful and respectful family. We all just love traveling, and are very experienced travelers! Whenever our kids are free at school, we pack our bags and we go!!!
