Me and my sons have a beautiful apartment in the Amsterdam Harbour area. Our building 'The Whale' is very famous for it's outstanding modern architecture. The house is a warm family home, with 2 kids bedrooms and a large master bedroom. Our interior is very cozy. We just love to live here. The view from the large windows is overlooking the Amsterdam Eastern Harbour area, with houseboats, the river Het IJ and skyline of the landtongue/island opposite of ours, with more great famous buildings. There's a mall around the corner, which has all the daily shopping you'll need, and Great high quality deli's in the building and around the corner. It's a 15 minute bike ride from the old 17th century canals and has 2 tram stops (2 and 5 minutes) from the house that go to all the cities highlights within 10 minutes or less.

Our neighborhood
Our area which is in centre Amsterdam and resembles the London Docklands and is excellent for lovers of modern architecture. I am a mom (39) of two sons (12 and 9.) We are taking a trip to celebrate my 40th birthday as well as my oldest sons move to high school. We are looking for a 3 week holiday in Spain or Italy in july or august. We prefer the greater Cities! From fall 2009 till end 2010 we are looking for a Trip to New York City. I have long promissed my sons that I would show them my favourite place on earth and that time has finally come. I lived in Hoboken, NJ, when I was 20 yrs of age as an au pair. Spent a yr in NY and just fell in love. Later I went on an exchange programme for my studies in Journalism which led me to New Paltz, New York (Suny New Paltz. I am a web writer for internetsites, a single mom and my boys are very cute Amsterdam kids in words of their teachers: with a golden heart.
