Our house is situated in the village Wormer. Our house is situated in a quite living area, not far from the city of Amsterdam.

From our house, you can see the lake that's part of "het Wormer & Jisperveld". It's a nature area : http://en.wikipedia.org . On the lake you can go by boat or canoe (rental in the neabourhood http://www.kajak.nl ). The cities Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Haarlem are only 20-25 km away, Purmerend only 11 km away. Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands and is famous for its canals, Van Goghmuseum ( http://www.vangoghmuseum.nl ), Rijksmuseum ( http://www.rijksmuseum.nl ), Anne Frank house ( http://www.annefrank.org ). Alkmaar is well-known for its traditional cheese market ( http://www.vvvalkmaar.nl ). For tourists, it's a popular cultural destination. The beach is 20 km away. Zaanse Schans 5 km (with its traditional green painted houses, warehouses and windmills the Zaanse Schans gives the feeling of having stepped back into the seventeenth or eighteenth centuries http://www.zaanseschans.nl ). We are a family with three children. Our son is 10 years old, our daughter is 7 years old and we have one baby-boy, he was born in december 2010. We have a cat and a dog. If you like it, we leave the pets at home. We will look after your house well and keep it clean and tidy as we would expect others to look after ours.
