We offer our wonderful bright and sunny apartment on the 4th and 5th floor (a walk-up) in a central location in (East) Amsterdam. The building is only 15 years old and in good condition. We have a kitchen/ living room and separate toilet downstairs and three rooms (bedroom, study, baby's room) and bathroom upstairs. We have a king-size bed (which can be used as two separate beds) in our bedroom and a two person air matrass for two other people which can be put up in the study or living room. Our home is on a quiet street and looks out on a playground, so it's perfect for kids. Our little balcony is perfect for two people to enjoy a beautiful sunset on warm nights.

Our neighborhood
We live in a child-friendly ethnically diverse neighborhood and walking distance/ cycling distance to the center of Amsterdam (10 minutes by bicycle to the center and we have 2 bikes available). We also live very close to public transport (subway station and train station). It's a 10 minute subway ride to Amsterdam Central Station. There are playgrounds, parks, restaurants and shops at walking distance. Something about ourselves
We are Barbara and Daniel, in our thirties and we will be traveling with our 1 year old son. I work as a community organizer and my husband is a historian. I have exchanged houses many times when I was a child. I always loved it. This will be the first time now that I have my own family. We are interested in an exchange to the US in July/ August 2010, either around New York or Colorado or the West Coast.  marks the location of this home
