Situated in a lively neighborhood with nice little creative shops, bakery and two big supermarkets and shopping mall for daily groceries are on walking distance. Also in walking distance you'll find one of the few windmills left and the only Amsterdam brewery. Also acces to all forms of public transport with the citycenter and main musea within 10 minutes reach. The famous Amsterdam canals and Leidseplein (shopping, clubbing, restaurants and sight seeing) without having to change trams. A big lake is 5 minutes by car. Also ideally located as a touring base to see the characteristic typical little Dutch villages which are close bye. As a European base you can visit the other best cities in Europe as Paris, Brussels or Berlin by high speed train or car.

We're both photographers and are used to travel for work before having our child. She is now 10 years. We still enjoy travelling when able to get away. We are used to have people living in our house when we were still living in New York City. We would expect to arrange and exchange first some way in advance via e-mail to see how best we can facilitate the stay in our Amsterdam home and vice-versa. Last but not least we have to beautiful cats. Should that be a problem we will arrange something for them. We already have 5 nice experiences with home for exchange and enjoy it a lot!
