Our apartment is used by 2 adults and a baby and a cat, but can be used by 4. Upstairs (1st floor) is the " parent area" with a large bedroom (double bed) an office and a kitchenette. The office can be used as a guestroom. Downstairs we have a spacious living with a modern kitchen (dishwasher, oven and microwave). The large children's room is at the backside of the house (very save and looking out to the garden). It has it's own little bathroom with a shower. Digital TV and PC with ADSL [or wireless] for unlimited internet access included. There is a combo washer-dryer in house (dry cleaner just around the corner). Our bikes are avaliable and we can deliver children's seats as well. We can also arrange children's bikes. ![]() Our neighborhood
Our comfortable (2 st.) apartment is located in the Rivierenbuurt. It's just outside the hectic center of Amsterdam. Various little shops around the corner make it special and convenient to buy your daily needs. The Vechtstraat is just one of many streets named after rivers. By the 1920s the legendary Berlage was supervising design of new, more livable neighborhood to the southeast 'the Rivierenbuurt' eschewing symmetry in favor of wholeness. The apartment is situated near Amsterdam 'Zuid-Oost' business centre, Amsterdam Arena, Amstel station, the RAI conference centre, The World Trade Centre and only 15 minutes from the heart of Amsterdam. Just a 2 blocks away the motorway A2 to Utrecht and the A10 (Exit S110) ring road starts. For children: Swimming pool De Miranda [in- and outdoor] is only a few minutes walk. Within 15 minutes walking you're at the Amstelpark; a joyful place with playground and little boats, rosarium etc. Central Station is at 10-15 minutes traveling (depending on travel method). As 2 freelancers (33/35) with a daugther aged 3 years old we like to take the chance to travel in- and outside the public holidays (for as long as we don't have to follow school etc.) We prefer sunny holidays but/and we also like city trips. My husband is carpenter and makes furniture, I'm a internet consultant. Destinations It would be great to exchange with couples with children, since we can even swop babysitters then! On the other hand, we like to exchange for a weekend or midweek and have a childless holiday for example in Berlin, Paris, Barcelona or.. you name it! ![]()
