Description of our house
Something really special: a lovely houseboat. Small, but very comfortable with all modern facilities, a wooden floor, and including a nice bathroom with a tub. We have central heating!
The terrace offers a romantic view on the River Amstel. Our canoe is available for exploring the canals. You live like in nature whilst in the middle of town.

Our neighborhoodThe houseboat is located on the Prinsengracht, one of the most beautiful canals in the historic centre of Amsterdam. The neighbourhood is cosy and stunningly beautiful. Nice shops, markets, parks, lots of monumental buildings, including the world famous ‘Skinny Bridge’, right in the cultural heart of the city, at a walking distance of all important museums, theatres, art galleries, venues and concert halls.

Something about ourselvesWe (47 and 50) are visual artists/art historian and we work as teachers as well as independently. We are a couple over 18 years, and we live at a walking distance from each other. Apart from the houseboat, we have a second apartment available as a secondary place to the houseboat.
(This second apartment is a spacious apartment in a renovated 19th century building at five minutes walking distance from the houseboat. There is a washing machine in the second apartment).
