Description of our house
My home is a very comfortable and friendly apartment in the very heart of the city. It seems small, but I have it very smartly furnished and have a superb canal view, so that it seems much spacier than it is in reality (33 m2).
It has a living room with open kitchen and a separate bedroom with a nice bathroom (shower). Both rooms have two windows. In the living room there is a sleeping couch, so that there is room for 2 extra persons, allthough the apartment is better for 2.
It is busy during day time, but in the evenings it is quiet. Take a virtual tour in the neigbourhood:

Our neighborhoodThe Singel is one of the oldest canals in the city of Amsterdam. It is also the broadest. Therefor the view is fantastic.
Downstairs is the famous flower market, where the people from Amsterdam have sold and bought their flowers and plants for ages...
All around my apartment there are nice shops, canals, bars, restaurants, cinema's and markets. There is always something to do or see. Trams and buses bring you to any place in the city, but for a longer stay you should rent a bike (also very close by). The supermarket on the corner of the street is opened 7 days a week, from 10-10.
It is also a nice neighbourhood to go for a walk and enjoy the old city center.

Something about ourselvesHi, I'm Sandra, in my thirties, born in Amsterdam, raised in Amsterdam - made a 5-year during move to Granada, Spain - and now live in Amsterdam. I work in the publishing business and love reading, travelling and getting to know different cultures.
I love Spain (AndalucĂa especially), France and Italy, but would also like to go somewhere unexpected, since I love adventure as well!
