Our house is a lovely house with a big garden (total 800 m2). Sleeps at least 8. It has a large livingroom and a seperate tv/playroom. There are lots of childrens toys and bikes for all ages available. The kitchen is furnished with all the modern needs and a dining-table. On the first floor there are four (bed-)rooms and a bathroom. Then there is an attick with another bedroom. In the garden there are swings, a sandpit and trampoline. There is also a chickenshed in the back of the garden. Fresh, free-range eggs :-)

Our neighborhood
The neighbourhood is a quiet one. The house is "freestanding" and is situated on a dead-end part of a road. No direct traffic in front of the house. Hoorn is a lovely historic town at the "IJsselmeer" and has a busy harbour, especially in the summertime. It has a very nice city center with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and old buildings. Past the city runs a highway wich takes you directly to Amsterdam and the rest of the country. Sandy beaches of the North Sea only 30 min. away. There are quite a few themeparks and zoo's close by. Also a number of golfcourses within 15 minutes of the city. The city center is a 7 minuteswalk from the house as is the trainstation. Supermarket is even closer. It's only 30 minutes by car from Amsterdam and 35 minutes from Schiphol airport. If you want to take the train, a 35 minute ride takes you into the center of Amsterdam and the trains have a direct connection to the airport. Something about ourselves
We are a family of seven. Father, mother and five children (3 boys and 2 girls) in the age from 4 to 11. Fathers occupation is a CFO for a wine-importing company, a keen golfer who loves to play a few rounds, and mother is a speechtherapist in the local hospital. We are a happy family. We've done three home-exchanges so far and enjoyed every one!  = marks the location of this home
