Description of our house
Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has a large kitchen with adjoining living room. We have three bedrooms, one with one double bed, two with a single bed with the possibility for adding another single bed. There is a study and a dressing room. We have a very luxurious bathroom of 30 m2 with shower, bath, sauna and bidet. In the whole house (except for kitchen and bathroom) we have wooden floors. For people with children it's nice to know that the house is child-safe. We have a large fenced garden (800 m2) with a large trampoline and a sandpit for the children. There is the possibility for a maid for 3 hours a week. Our house is near a couple of airports Maastricht-Aachen (15 min), Eindhoven (50 min), Brussel (1 hour), Dusseldorf (45 min), schiphol (2,5 hours)..

Our neighborhoodFor young children and teenagers, there is a large play ground with outside and inside swimmingpool at a 5 minute walk. There are a couple of very nice restaurants at walks from 5 to 15 minutes. The area we live in is also very suitable for hiking and biking. There are lots of beautiful routes in our "hillie" landscape. There are a lot of great things to do for couples with or without children. Beautifull golfcourses are in the area (20 min. drive is the nearest). Ideally located as a touring base. We live in the three-border-area of Holland, Belgium and Germany. Our town offers easy access to cities in each country. The "European city" of Maasticht and Sittard [15 min.]. Ideal for clubbing and enjoying authentic european cities. "Light-city" Eindhoven [50 min.], the canals of Utrecht[2hours], Amsterdam with its red-light district[2,5 hours] are nearby by car or train. In Belgium the old city of Genk [20 min], Antwerp [1hour] and Brussels [1 hour] are very cultural with a tag of french influence. One could make lovely daytrips to these cities. Something about ourselvesWe are Hubert and Monique. We have two young boys in the age of 4 and 6. They are well behaved and are naturally carefull with other people's properties. We are both professionals (chemical engineer and a [part-time]legal policymaker)and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have done a home exchange in april 2007 in Embrun France and in july 2007 in Stafford England and we are just back from Valencia (Spain). We would like to get to know our exchangers via email and MSN first. Of course we will have a lot of insight information for you about our region and its possibilities.
We love to go hiking, biking, swimming, undertake daytrips with the children, try new things. We are both divers. We enjoy our lovely home very much and love to share this with exchangers.
