We have a nice, for Dutch standards spacious house, in Zeewolde (photo shows:left part of the semi-detached, 2-onder-een-kap): 1st floor: 82 sqm2: living room and modern, easy to handle design dining kitchen with microwave and oven and an extra store room. Upstairs 70sqm2: main bedroom and guests room, dressing room. Nice modern bathroom with whirlpool (Villeroy and Boch), shower and toilet. 3rd floor: attic with washing machine and 2 single beds here it is warm, dry and has a large Velux window. We have a beautiful new floor of quartsite (July 2010) at the groundfloor.
Backyard: two terraces, one with patio roof, new Sept 2011, with loungeset (with automatically turned off/onlights) , and a pont to enjoy the sun and the flowers and a front/side garden (with grapes in autumn until December, when the summer is fine.! In the garage we have a gasBBQ, some garden chairs, a parasol and bicycles you can use: 3 good Dutch bikes 1 man's bike, 2 lady bikes. Information about the house, the area (where to dine etc.) and Amsterdam (Eng + Dutch guides) will be available, as well as some biking information. Within 50km you will have the most beautiful nature and cities & villages of the Netherlands. Perfect biking facilities in the country and in Zeewolde! Please take your own laptop or device with you for Internet access with Wifi. No pets! in our house, but we can take care of your cats if you have any as we like cats!. Please have a look to all the photos taken. Within 100 km you will find 80%of the Netherlands beauty, including 7 UNESCO WORLD HERITAGES. We live in a young, spacious village Zeewolde, it is the centre of Holland, which did not exist 30 years ago. 2.5m. below sea level, but don't worry, the house is warm & dry and the area is safe. The village has 20.000 inhabitants, 5 supermarkets,and all kind of shops, sailing & sport facilities (2 golf courses in Zeewolde and 6 in the region).

Also in the near vicinity several nice historical towns: Harderwijk (with Dolphinarium), Spakenburg, Volendam, Muiden(castle), Elburg, Schokland, Urk(former island) and only 50 km away, Giethoorn (canaltour), Utrecht(take a coffee down to the storages along the canal) and Amsterdam with lots of history & museums: Rijksmuseum, van Gogh museum, Anne Frank House and the canals for a boattour.

Biking on the Veluwe is very popular. Zeewolde is physically the centre of Holland and has two attraction parks, 1 for swimming and lots of sensation (in case of a rainy day): the Eemhof: 18 kms from our house, still in Zeewolde:

For the summer:
There are several harbours with sailing facilities. Sail the IJsselmeer and visit lovely old towns: Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Stavoren (see also: http://www.wolderwijd.nl January: averidge day temperature in January is 4 *C. In July: 21*C.
Car is recommended, nearest railstations are in Harderwijk, Nijkerk and Almere. Busses from several places in Zeewolde to these cities as well. Free carparking at the railstations mentioned above. We have 2 ladybikes and 1 mens bike in the garage, when the weather is fine you can bike here on good paved paths. (and see the tulips in the area, for the spring visitors, April-May). see for that:

We are a couple of 57, Gerrit, and Leny, 59, nonsmoking and would like to exchange with non-smokers. No Pets. We have 2 adult children: 1 daughter living in Utrecht and 1 son in Belgium and we are Dutch of origine,we love to go on vacation and travel, we lived in Belgium during 18 years and before that 13 years in Germany, the last 5 years in Holland again.
Hobbies:
Gerrit: birdwatching, sailing and fitness.
Leny: reading, walking, cycling, painting. We both like to see other countries, which we did all our life, when we had the oppurtunity to do so.We are member since oct '09 and had lovely HE's to England, Switzerland, Tenerife and Slovenia. We hope to add your country to the list!
We also like to go to the Dutch islands of the Waddensea,who can offer us an HE to Vlieland or Terschelling.
