We have a comfortable sunny house with three floors, built in 2001. On the ground floor you will find two rooms and a toilet; on the first floor the living room with a beautiful view on the Markermeer (IJsselmeer), the kitchen, and two balconies; on the second floor a large bedroom with a double bed (180x220), a small bedroom with a single bed, and a bathroom with toilet, bath, shower and double washstand. Our garden (20 meters) is east/south. There is a parking place in front of the house. On the right site of our house you can see Batavia harbour, with all kinds of boats/yachts and also a fleet of old Dutch sailing ships/two-master/three-master, as well as the locks for the cargo-boats and yachts.

Our neighborhood
Lelystad is a new built town (about 75.000 inhabitants) on the bottom of the (earlier) sea. Features: spacious, air, clouds, spectacular sunsets, a lot of water, nature, a lot of birds, green area, woods. From the living room we have an always-changing view: all kinds of ships, all kinds of weather, it is really beautiful. Possibilities in Lelystad: sailing, swimming (beach/indoor), golfing, fishing, tennis, surfing, shopping (also a large outlet centre behind the Batavia harbour); there are several galleries/museums, restaurants, theatres, and cinema. There is also an international known wildlife park (Oostvaardersplassen, 5 minutes by car), the greatest wildlife area in the Netherlands. Big cities like AMSTERDAM and Utrecht can be reached within 50 minutes by car or by train; typical old Dutch villages like Enkhuizen, Urk 30 minutes by car; AMSTERDAM Schiphol (airport) in one hour. Lelystad has a railway station with good connections to all parts of our country. Something about ourselves
We are Leo and Bea. Leo (65) is a retired manager of an ICT- division in an several institutes for disabled people. Bea (60) is a psychotherapist. Together we have five grown-up children (31-39 years old), all on their own, and six grandchildren (1-5 years old). We like to be in other countries, among the people over there, to experience how life is there. We like to visit cities, cultural events, and to enjoy nature.  = marks the location of this home
