The apartment is situated on a hill in the region Pelican Keys. It has a balcony of ca. 14 m2 (not included in the m2 of the house)looking out on the Caribbean See at the left, Simpson Bay in the middle and the lagoon on the right.
The apartment is light and has a lovely high beamed ceiling. All glass doors can be opened and all glass doors and windows have screens so you can enjoy the nice breeze day and night. We only use the airco in the bedroom during July/August.
The house has its own parking space for two cars. The roof terrace of ca. 12m2 is situated on the roof of the parking area. It is a nice place to have a BBQ and also to enjoy the jacuzzi watching the stars.
We work online (for the European market) so WIFI is available everywhere in the house but please take in account. The up/download is 2MB/512KB. The apartment is situated located very centrally, perfect to all of Sint Maarten and Saint Martin. From here you can walk to Kim Sha beach to swim, dive or enjoy a kayaktour. The supermarket is at walkingdistance, beachbars, restaurants and also the busstop. Which makes it a very convenient place to live.
Sint Maarten itself is an interesting island, being partly Dutch and partly French. It has a lot of nightlife to offer and shopping although we prefer the beaches, watersports and hikes.
Both sides offer lovely beaches, both quiet ones as some very well equipped with bars and shops etc. If you love watersports you will be able to windsurf, boardsurf, kitesurf, snorkel, dive and kayak and ofcourse Sint Maarten also offers 'motorized' watersports.
Oh and not to forget the food. Due to its huge variety of people coming from all over the world, many different kitchens and ingredients for home-cooking are available which is very uncommon for a caribean island we have been told.
Upon this it is the perfect starting point to visit the surrounding islands as all ferries and airflights depart from here. Daytrips by ferry are possible to St. Barth, Anguilla and Saba but to be honest it's much nicer to spend some nights on those islands as each island has its own charm and can be very different.
