Description of our house

Our condo is a very tropical getaway. It is ideal for 2 people, but can accommodate a 3rd on the spare bed. It is a two level penthouses on the top of a small 4 storey condo (13 units) that sits on a hill that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and downtown old Puerto Vallarta. The upper level is the Bedroom with an ensuite Bathroom. This level is a mezzanine with a wood floor and covered with a Palapa (thatched roof). There are no bugs, as the Palapa is fumigated twice/yr. and the condo is too high for mosquitoes. The main floor has windows on 3 sides with a living and dining area, kitchen, washroom, and large terrace. The neighborhood is called ?Zona Romantica' and is the main restaurant area of town. There is a private pool and the beach is 2 blocks down our street. The large bay of Puerto Vallarta is famous for Dolphin and Whale watching. The condo is not available Dec.10-Jan.7.ea. year and does not allow pets, or children under 12.

This is in a downtown residential area of Puerto Vallarta, not on the hotel strip outside of town. There are wonderful views from this penthouse in all directions and it is within walking distance of anything you would want while there: beach, restaurants, galleries, shopping, flea market, night clubs. Oliver is a semi-retired architect of 65 and Lucie still works as a microbiologist, trying to keep her age a secret. Our children are grown so we like to travel a lot to places with some 'cultural shock'. We have visited much of the world except Asia, S. Africa and Turkey. Our plan for 3 months in Europe in 2010 is to attend events with my Vintage car. I therefore need a place with a garage or a nearby secure private garage.
