Our home overlooks San Miguel de Allende, one of the most charming and unique colonial towns in Mexico. It is known for its cobbled streets, 16th and 17th century architecture, pastel colors and old churches and rich artistic and cultural life It is on many lists, including that of Conde Nast, as one of the world's desirable places to retire. We are a twenty minute walk from the center of town and a two minute walk from the unique 100 hectare botanical garden with its walking paths. In fact, if you want, San Miguel is one of those places were you can walk pretty much everywhere. If tired, or if too late, it is a 20, 25, 30 pesos taxi ride to pretty much anywhere in town. San Miguel is also a great base for visiting other colonial towns. Something about ourselves

Sylvia and Richard have been retired for several years. Prior to retiring, Richard was a clinical psychologist and Sylvia a psychiatric social worker. Before we came to San Miguel de Allende we lived in San Diego, California. We had been going back and forth between San Diego and San Miguel de Allende until about 3 years ago when we decided to build a house and stay most of the year here. When we are not enjoying our house here in SMA we enjoy traveling to other parts of the world. ![]()
