Description of our house
The house is modern build in traditional limestone with some traditional features. The house has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The large open plan living and dining room looks over the garden which has a large pool of 12 meters long. The garden has plenty of outdoor seating and deckchairs around the pool.
The first floor consists of 4 large bedrooms 3 of them have ensuites. Two bedrooms have balcony access which look over the pool and the country side. 3 of the bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom is a baby room with cot.
If you have the need to work on the holiday there is an office with high speed internet access and Wifi connectivity.
There is satelite TV with 1000s of channels and a large DVD collection. We also have a seperate TV where you can play the XBOX 360.

Our neighborhoodThis house is located in the village of Kercem, which is 20 minutes walking from Victoria the capital of Gozo.
The house sits on the edge of the town and has beautiful country views. From Kercem you can make nice walks in the country side and also some walks along 100 meter high cliffs.
Kercem is also not far from Azure Window and the inland sea (conected via a tunnel) of Dwejra.
The island of Gozo is part of the 3 island that make up Malta. It is a 25 minute ferry crossing from the main island of Malta.
Gozo is where Maltese people go on holiday. The island is known for its small vilages that have religious festivals and beautiful country side.
The best beaches of Malta can also be found in Gozo with the red sand beach of Ramla Bay being the most stunning. Ramla Bay has been spared any development.
Kercem is not far from Victoria which has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops. Victoria is also home of the Citadel which is the old walled town.
Gozo is excellent for its seafood, Rabit stew and Ravioli made with local goats cheese.

Something about ourselvesWe are Arthur(38, from the Netherlands and works as an internet consultant) and Grace (36, from Australia). We have an nine month old daughter Aurelia who is very easy going.
We have had our first exchange for two weeks with a family from Amsterdam that has been a great succes. We are both keen to exchange again.
This is our permanent home from where we do our work. As my work is internet based we are pretty flexible when it comes to home exchange dates.
We are now looking at exchanging for 2009. We would like to go to Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and Vienna. However other capital cities are welcome. We are open to all sorts of destinations.
From November 2008 till April 2009 we are on a 4 month trip. We can arange exchange that are non similtaneous.
We like to exchange for 1 to 2 weeks. We like to know our exchanges in advance so we can plan work and flights.
