Description of our house

Our Second home in Riva del Garda, is located in the historic city center, which is a quiet and silent neighborhood. It was built in the 12th century as the residence of the bishop. Recently, it was renovated in a cozy style and therefore is perfect for families or couples. Our apartment is on the top floor (3rd). The home ceiling is made of wood, following the original ancient style. The kitchen has been renovated recently. Besides that, there are two bedrooms one with 2 singles beds and one with double bed, a large living room, a bathroom and a small laundry.

The city itself is gorgeous, surrounded by mountains and the lake of Garda, it offers many kind of sport activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, sailing, windsurf, canoeing. But, there are also more relaxing activities, like walking on the long beach or downtown, where there is a large pedestrian area! Near the home there are many supermarkets (150 m) stores (50 m), pub (200 m), restaurants (50 m) and pizzeria(50 m)! The beaches is only 10 minutes by walk from the house! The lake of Garda is really beautiful: surrounded by mountains and by small historic towns, which are worth to be visited and very easy to be reached. Here you have some of them: Torbole: next to Riva, and there is a pedestrian street starting from the beach which brings you there, so you have to do that; Limone sul Garda: small and very characteristic (less than 15 minutes by bus); Malcesine: nice with a cableway which bring you on the top of a mountain with a marvellous view of the lake (less than 30 minutes by bus); Bardolino; Garda; Sirmione: maybe the most beautiful, it's a peninsula in the middle of the lake; Salò: very important for Italian history. You can also reach all of them using ships: it takes longer time, but it's the right way to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Finally Trento is 30 minutes by car and Verona is only 1 hour. We are Luciano and Linda a couple in our first 30's. Luciano is a dentist in Verona and Linda is a teacher in primary school. We have made many home exchange especially Luciano with his family in the last years and all the exchange was beautiful experience! For work problems we prefer to search for an home exchange in Europe preferably in August for 1 or 2 week! we also are interested in a short home exchange (2-4 days) in a nearby area during all year!
