Description of our house

Our apartment has a large open space as kitchen, living and dining room, 1 main bedroom, 1 smaller bedroom, two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking private garden. The mixture of ethnical, modern and ancient furniture, the several paintings, masks and sculptures coming from all over the world makes it a very special place to stay. It is located at the third floor of an ancient and prestigious building, which is not provided of elevator (for that it is not suitable for disabled people), but when you will be in you will appreciate its position. It is not easy to find in the heart of the historical centre of Florence apartments that are silent, luminous and airy as it is because all the windows look over internal and private garden and courtyards. It is provided of all comforts and equipment, including air conditioning (which is crucial in summer time!). We are available to eventually put at disposal our car (Renault Megane Scenic, 1900 turbo diesel) to visit the countryside and other historical towns in Tuscany.

The flat is located in the heart of the historical centre of Florence, just behind the famous square of S. Croce, at walking distance (5 minutes) from all the main other tourist and cultural attractions (Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Accademia Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, etc), as well as the shopping attractions. This area of the historical town is also known as the centre of the night life of Florence, with a lot of typical restaurants, international pubs and Italian bar where it is possible to try the "aperitivo" before dinner (but for the quantity of food you can eat with just 1 drink it might be a real dinner..)or enjoy some music at night. Considering that, you will really appreciate (especially on Saturday night..) that the flat is totally silent. Something about ourselves

We are a family of three. Federica (36) and Fabio (43), working together in an Italian NGO (COSPE, http://www.cospe.org that operates in the field of international cooperation, human rights defense and promotion, and Bianca, our daughter (4). We are used to travel all over the world for working reasons, especially in disadvantages countries, and we love to enter in contact with different cultures and people…maybe with the home exchange enhancing our opportunity to visit also more traditional tourism locations…
