Description of our house
Our house is large, 180 m2 in the main floor, and 200 m2 in the basement; it is inside a garden of 500 m2, a part facing north along the street, and the larger part facing south is surrounded by fruit trees (oranges, lemons, apples, apricots, plums, grape, etc.). The house has two kitchens, one in the basement directly on the garden, The interior has a very large living room, with floor in "cotto toscano"; the part with the 3 sleeping rooms has wooden floors. Additional sleeping possibilities are in the basement. The house is wired with high-speed net access, and we have our WiFi internal network. We have two friendly dogs, they are trained to stay in the garden, we can manage to have somebody taking care of them during the exchanges.

Our neighborhoodThe house is suburban, in the northern part of Pisa (Porta a Lucca) but the center of the town is at walking distance (15 minutes to the leaning tower). The open fields are at 100 m distance, we can see the "Monte Pisano" and the Apuan Alps. There is a bycicle track from the house to the center of town. Another leads to the countryside and the monutains. The neighborhood is composed of small houses with gardens (look for Viale Giovanni Pisano at maps.google.com), our street is lined with pine trees (edible pine nuts).

Something about ourselvesI am 63, a professor of mathematics, teaching at the University of Pisa; my wife Manuela Paschi is professor of philosophy at the university of Pisa, we have a daughter of 18, Ginevra, studying medicine, living with us, and a son Roberto working in computer science, living nearby. We like travelling and knowing new places. Unfortunately we will not have much time next year, we cannot consider for now long term exchanges, or exchanges outside of Europe or Mediterranean.
