Description of our house

![]() ]
Our home is located in the heart of Tuscany among olive groves and grape vines grown by the local farmer. It is a typical farmhouse with two rooms downstairs (newly renovated kitchen on the right - with gas stove, fridge, microwave, marble and granite countertops... and newly renovated sitting room on the left with two single beds and a washroom, as well as a television with a great selection of videos, music cd's, games and books) Upstairs you will find two very comfortable bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms (one with a claw foot tub the other with a marble/glass shower). The house is a typical Tuscan Farmhouse with stone floors and beautiful beam ceilings. It has been lovingly renovated with a new roof, new electricity, gas heating and private bathrooms all of which will provide you with a comfortable and yet rustic stay in Italy.

The nights are dark (you can actually see the stars) and quiet. The days... well all we can say is that one look at the view and you'll never want to leave... Minutes away from the highly visited city of San Gimignano, the third most visited city in Tuscany after Florence (1 hour) and Sienna (20 minutes). Walk off the farm and you can visit the very ancient hamlet of Santa Lucia (with its gorgeous little park with children swings... and basketball court), take a 5 minute bus ride from there to San Gimignano. On the way you can drop into a camping area and have a swim or watch a soccer game, have a gourmet pizza at the local restaurant or visit a local winery. An oasis for artists, photographers or lovers of beautiful places. Relax, enjoy the countryside... many hiking trails (one goes right by the house!) ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Wayne and Margot, a married couple in our mid 50s with two sons (one in Australia and the other in Toronto- both have flown the coop)and one Parson Russell(that usually doesn't travel with us). We are both professionals (investment advisor and teacher/gallery owner). We live in cottage country Muskoka, North of Toronto where we boat, fish and love to travel whenever possible. We recently inherited this home in Tuscany and have fallen in love with the area. We are looking for people to exchange with who will take good care of our property as we would of theirs, are non smokers and would enjoy living in a working farm environment (the house is on a farm, although we do not run the farm). At times, we may travel with two or three other family members. ![]()
