Description of our house
Our second home is large and comfortable in a woodland area close to Barga. The house has every comfort. It has four bedrooms upstairs with lovely country views. Downstairs there is a renovated double-roomed lounge with central double glass fronted fireplace and alarge fully fitted kitchen. There is a pizza oven, large garage and double cellars. The kiwi vine and chestnut trees provide shade in summer when themountain breezes keep us cool. We usually eat outside on the terrace and enjoy the views.

Our neighborhoodOur house is at 800m asl but only 7 minutes from Barga. There are lovely walks and bike rides from the house. Barga although small has a great variety of interesting events, from Scottish weeks to Jazz Festivals. Lucca and Pistoia are less than an hour away and Florence and Pisa airport less than 90 minutes. There are great local restaurants and places to visit or you can just relax in the country!Car exchange possible.

Something about ourselvesWe are Chris and Aileen, teachers in our fifties who live and work in Varese. Our grown up children are in U.K. and New Zealand and we would like to explore more when we retire in the next couple of years.We would like to visit New Zealand again but for at least three months this time in 2009 or 2010.If you are beginning to plan a visit to Tuscany we could exchange non-simultaneously anytime after September 2008.
