Description of our house

It is a charming country house with a shady outdoor eating area, gardens and a large stone dam which is perfect for dipping in on hot days. Restoration on the house was completed just over a year ago so we now have a sunny, harmonious environment. There are two bedrooms downstairs and another upstairs, a lovely kitchen and a spacious dining room if you decide not to eat outside. No matter where you are in the house there are almost always beautiful views. The house is surrounded by hazelnut trees and there are various water streams running through the property. You can also enjoy the organic garden produce in the warmer months.

The house is situated in the Madonie Nature Reserve and is 5 minutes away from the medieval Polizze Generosa. Just a short drive will get you to the seaside village of Cefalu with its rocky coastline and white sandy beaches. The area is ideal for trekking and hiking and there are plenty of nearby villages to discover. There is an excellent selection of restaurants and pizzerias in the area offering typical, local cuisine and warm, friendly service. Sicily has a wealth of archaelogy, history and nature. We are a married couple with 4 daughters ranging in age from 10 to 21, it is unlikely however that they would all travel with us. We've done three house swaps so far and they have all been extremely successful. As we're both quite house proud we would certainly take care of your property. We do have a cat but if whoever took the house wasn't an animal lover we could make other arrangements for him.
