We have a 115 m2 house on 2 levels, traditional
Tuscan/Ligurian style, build according to the latest low energy
Klima-house standards. We moved into our house 1 year ago. The house is very nice, cosy and comfortable but still a bit under construction. It is clean and absolutely livable but some things are not ready yet (extra bathroom, laundryroom (washingmachine is working), doors, garden).The amazing surroundings will make you forget about the missing details in the house. All green around, silence with birds singing, seaview. The house is made of wood so the smell is wonderfull and the temperature in the house is perfect. The bathroom, the kitchen, the livingroom and the sleepingrooms are all ready. Outside we have a gardenset, a trampoline a kids pool and we have two really sweet cats who need to be feeded and a garden that needs water. We have a 115 m2 house on 2 levels, traditional

Our house is situated on a marvelous spot
on the first hills facing the Ligurian sea, on the
border of Tuscany and Liguria, close to the charming town of Sarzana,
a very alive and bustling small Italian town.
The centre (only 10 min.)is car-free and wonderful
to stroll around. You can find one nice little restaurant
next to the other, shops of all kind and specialty
antique furniture shops and markets, and cultural
events throughout the whole year. Sarzana is
enjoyable for everybody, young and old, families
and couples.
Not even 15 min. away from Sarzana is
Lerici, a romantic little fishing town on the Golfo
dei Poeti, famous for the poets Shelly and Byron
who settled here, with beaches, markets, boat
tours to the famous Cinque-Terre or boat hire
options for personal Trips.
Between Sarzana and Cinque-Terre are
many little towns and borghi nestled in cliffs with
beaches, bars and good food. You can find
remote bays only reachable by boat or stylish
exclusive beaches, like the “Ecco del Mare” of
the famous Italian singer Zucchero.
In the other direction are the fabulous beaches of the
Tuscan coast with Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi
(with its fashion shops), the famous marble caves
of Carrara and Pietra Santa, where Michelangelo
worked.
The well-known harbor of La Spezia is 30
minutes away, with ferry connections to
Sardegna, Corsica, Barcelona and many more.
If you decide to turn your back towards the sea
and look around, you see the impressive Alpi
Apuani, with 1800 meter high peaks, which you
might even see snow covered while swimming in
the sea.
Parts of the Alpi Apuana are protected nature
resorts, with historical background like the
famous LUNIGIANA.
Here you can take long outings and visit caves,
museums, art, thermal spots, enjoy sports like
mountain biking, trekking or hike in solitude for
days.
If you are a lover of handmade products like
delicious honey, jams, olives, pestos, bread,
cheese or olive tree woodwork, you will find a
paradise just behind your house.
In the winter season you can ski approximately an hour
away from the house: in small skiing areas
where you can enjoy quiet skiing with your
family during the week and in the weekends
watch the latest Italian winter fashion in the
highly frequented bars.
This area is Yin and Yang of nature to enjoy
all year round: mountains and sea close
together, solitude and Italian life style,
fashion and historic art, sport and relaxation,

We are a German/Dutch couple (43).
We came to Italy about 9 years ago and very
soon after arrival, started up our family life.
We have two girls of 6 and 8 years who go to Italian schools.
We started more then 3 years to realize this EKO house project and still we are not finished yet. Solarpanels, windmill a watersource are in the planning, but as we learned by now in Italy: slowly slowly, patienza! We are a German/Dutch couple (43).
