Our house is situated in a peaceful, secure residential area. It is in a cul de sac estate with two grass play areas and is perfect for children to play safely. There is a lovely community within the estate and the children of various ages play together on the greens.

It is a ten minute drive to the city centre and is also on a bus route to the middle of town. It is 600m to a neighbourhood supermarket and 1.5 kilometres to a large modern shopping centre which has a large supermarket, a book shop and many other shops.

Limerick is a thriving, vibrant university city, with a special love of rugby - It is the home of Munster rugby. There are lots of shops, coffee shops and restaurants in the city centre. Fans of the arts are well served with a number of art galleries. The world renowned Hunt Museum is a must for any history enthusiast and outside the city, artefacts and sites from Neolithic to Medieval times abound. Local attractions include King John's Castle, Hunt Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral, etc. There is a wonderful market in the Milkmarket in the city centre every Saturday.

Limerick city is situated on the river Shannon in the Mid-West of Ireland just 20 minutes from Shannon airport. There are many rowing and boat clubs on the edge of the city. Limerick is central for driving to all parts of Ireland, a two hour drive to Dublin, 90 minutes drive to Galway and 90 minutes to Cork city. There is also a train and bus station in the city centre with connections to Cork, Dublin, Clare and to all areas of Ireland. We are approximately 30 mins away from the Clare Glens which forms the boundary between Co. Tipperary and Co Limerick. The Clare River flows through a gorge (Clare Glens), which provides excellent walks and scenic views from all sides. There are many waterfalls in the Glens and they are heavily wooded, a nature trail has been mapped in a looped course. We are less than an hour away from the west coast of Clare which is renowned for surfing (Lahinch) and walks (famous Burren landscape) and Bunratty Castle which is open to explore and also holds medieval banquets is approximately 15mins away from our house. The cliffs of Moher also in Clare, are about an hour away and were shortlisted for the New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2011. An hour south of Limerick and you enter the famous Kingdom of Kerry with it's breathtaking scenic views of mountains and lakes and the world renowned Ring of Kerry.
