Located at the end of a country lane it is surrounded by a large secluded garden with panoramic views of the countryside and yet our home is only a five minute walk to the beachs and Spiddal village (shops, restaurants, pubs).

Spiddal village is a fishing village with promenade and beaches 11 km west of Galway city on the north shore of Galway Bay. It has a unique atmosphere and culture being located in the Irish speaking part of Connemara. There are several lively pubs with traditional music in the village as well as shops, a thriving Arts and Crafts Centre, a post office and good restaurants. Horse-riding, sea angling and trout and salmon fishing are available locally. You can explore the rugged natural beauty of Connemara or visit the world famous Arann Islands which are visible across the bay and can be travelled to by air (Airport 3 km west) or by ferry from Rossaveal (10 kms). Galway city, a short 20 min drive away (bus links) is a lively university city with thriving nightlife, cultural activities and excellent and varied restaurants and pubs. Summer highlights include the Galway Arts Festival and the Galway Races.
