Our home is situated just 5 miles from Galway City centre and yet just at the start of rural Ireland. Our home is a large modern 3800 sq. ft. detached home on a large private site. There is a high level stone wall to the front with security gate for privacy. Our home is comfortable clean and spacious. The rear deck is large and is bordered by a large rear garden surrounded by a high level 6ft timber fence with further views of rural Ireland. The local fauna and flowers and Galway Bay in the distance. We love having family and friends over for barbacues and spending warm and sunny evenings on the decking.
We offer a very spacious 3800sq.ft. detached home with 5 very large bedrooms similar to American homes and a sixth bedroom/office for the business person that must keep in touch. There are 3.5 baths in total and all bedrooms are large with plenty of wardrobe space. The main bedroom has an Emperour Bed and is enormous with en suite and separate wardrobe area. One bedroom has two full size double beds and ample wardrobe space. The kitchen/family area is very large and spacious where everyone can sit and have fun while meals are being prepared and served. There is a wine and beer cooler in the kitchen along with a flat screen TV. There is permanent wi fi broadband connection, 50" Flat Screen TV in the main family room and full size American Size Pool Table. The property has a security system monitored by external security company. Our family reside nearby and are always available to assist in any way possible. Galway is a very lively cosmopolitan city and has a very lively atmosphere and fantastic pub life. Traditional Irish music and dancing can be experienced in the pubs and the native Irish language can be experienced in Galway and especially in the rural Connemara villages along the Galway coast. There is a great amount of quality restaurants in the immediate area and most of the international fast food restaurants are located in the city as well such as McDonalds, Burger King, Supermacs, KFC. Galway (City of the Tribes)has a lot to offer any visitor and being on the West Coast of Ireland, the furthest outpost of Europe, you will see an enormous amount of history of ancient life on our coasts and coastal islands. The scenic views are breath taking and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Galway has an Airport 15 minutes away from our home and along with Shannon and Knock Airports both 1 hours drive away from our home they provide you with direct flights to cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and London England with flight times as short of 1.5 hours. Direct Flights to Spain, France and other European destinations are readily available. Our capital City Dublin is now connected to Galway City by Motorway and can be reached by car within 1.5 hours. We are Colum & Linda and have a family of four children all of which are now grown up and our eldest daughter has recently married. We are both professional people with a family business in industrial and garage equipment.
