We live in a friendly suburban / rural village with a nice community feeling. There are a number of quiet country roads nearby which are ideal for cycling. We are a short distance from Lough Corrib and the rivers Corrib and Clare, good for boating or fishing.

Our house is in a quiet cul de sac with ten detached houses. We have good friendly neighbours. around us there are fields with various crops and animals. Night time is quiet and without the city lights it is good for star gazing on a clear night. There are a few sleepy pubs within 2 or 3 kilometres, or if you want something more lively it is about 15 - 20 mins by car to the city. Something about ourselves

We are the Canavan family, Robert, Maura and children, Daire 14, Aoife 11 and Molly 6. We have not done a house exchange before but have had it recommended by our friends. Robert works as a project manager in the construction industry and Maura works part time in her brothers sustainable energy solutions company as well as running the home. We like to travel when we can and are intersted in learning about other countries and cultures.
