Description of our house
Our house is in a quite cul-de-sac about 4 miles from the nearest town. It was build in 2000, which means it has all the modern comforts. Light, bright and spacious, but also cosy and comfortably warm. The house is surrounded by mature trees and garden (veg and flowers). Along one side runs a stream where ducks and chickens are kept. There is plenty of space (and toys) for kids to explore and run around. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room. Three of the bedrooms have double beds, and the fourth bedroom has a single bed. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and bath.

Our neighborhoodOur home is situated ideally for all sorts of outdoor pursuits. Fishing, hiking, cycling, horse riding is all on your doorstep. The nearest town, Loughrea, is 4 miles with all amenities and the cosmopolitan city of Galway is just half an our away where a lot of entertainment. Traditional music nightly / Arts festival in July / Horseracing in August. Famous tourist areas for endless walks, hikes and exploring: The Burren and Connemara are only one hour away, while Dublin city is 2 hours. The nearest beach is 25 minutes drive. The lake of Loughrea has a lovely swimming beach and pier (Blue Flag only 2 minutes away).

Something about ourselvesDamian is an Design Engineer and my name is Lilly and I am a Gardener/Homemaker. Then there are Caimin (11) and Aoife(9) who are going to the local primary school and enjoy looking after our dog, cat, chickens and ducks (The animals can be looked after by our neighbour during your stay).
We love the outdoors and spend days either in the (veg)garden, working on diy projects (building a shed/loft at the moment), hiking, cycling, etc. or just having a bbq on the deck.
As we will be travelling with our kids, we can only exchange during the school holidays.
WE WOULD LOVE TO GO SKIING IN FEB.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOUSE WITH A POOL OR WATER NEARBY FOR SUMMER 2009.
