A very quiet area on the edge of Galway city centre, just ten minutes walk into the centre of town, twenty minutes walk from beach. Plenty of good pubs with traditional music. Galway has lots of festivals, a film festival in early July, a two week arts festival the last two weeks of July and The Galway races, the biggest horse racing meeting in the country. Galway is the tourist capital of the west of Ireland and a vibrant and exciting small city and an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
