The house is situated in Monkstown, perhaps the most pleasant suburb on the southside of Dublin! Monkstown is approx. 45 minutes from Dublin Airport by car. This is a quiet well established area within walking distance of the picturesque sea front village of Monkstown with its many restaurants, pubs and shopping. We are also 15 minute walk from the picturesque harbour in Dun Laoghaire where you will also find shopping, cinemas and restaurants. Directly across the road from our house is the Monkstown Pool and Fitness Centre. We are approx. 7k from the centre of Dublin with excellent bus and train connections. We are also within easy reach of Co Wicklow which is regarded as the "garden of Ireland" with its historic monastic sites, beaches, mountains and villages. There are a number of large parks within walking distance of the house. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Richard and Liz, our children Luke (14) and Niamh (13) and pet dog Molly. Richard is a power station manager while Liz manages the house and the kids. The family's interest are diverse - Irish music, cooking, cycling, swimming, karate, table tennis...endless! We are eager to get out and see some new places and and that's why we signed up to Home Exchange. We have already had successful home exchanges in Barcelona in 2012 and Cologne in 2013. If we find a match with someone looking to do an exchange we would like to get to know you (Skype or email) and take it from there! ![]()
