Our home was built in the 1950's but has been completely remodeled 10 years ago. It is modern, spacious and extremely comfortable. We have a large kitchen and family space leading out onto a deck with a large table and 6 chairs, BBQ and a big garden with trampoline. We have a gate that leads to a private park with tennis courts and soccer nets. We have found that with previous swaps, families have loved this very safe space for their children to play and meet local children. We have a shed with 5 bikes and other outdoor toys.
Downstairs we have a playroom/den with a sofa, tv and dvd and wii player. We have a lots of jigsaws, dvds and other games for children.
There is a large sitting room with a fireplace and plasma 42" TV. We have 2 sofas in this room. We tend to use this as an adult room. We have lots of books which you are welcome to read.
There is a downstairs WC on this level. The kitchen has all mod cons.
Upstairs we have a bathroom and shower. There are 2 double rooms with plenty of wardrobe space. We also have 2 smaller rooms with single beds.

Whether its a trip up the mountains for a bracing hike, a sampling of the delicious local produce from the farmers' market, an opportunity to steep yourself in the world famous Irish culture and hospitality, there's something for everyone in Dublin.
We live in a fantastic location for all the above. A spacious and comfortable family home in a quiet, safe and well established suburb of Dublin, only 6 kms from the city centre.
Dublin has numerous tourist attractions, Trinity College, The Book of Kells, St Patrick's Cathedral, Guinness Hopstore, Dublin Castle, as well as some of the oldest pubs in the world, where a good pint of Guinness is always served. Temple Bar is the cultural centre of Dublin, our own "Left Bank", while St Stephen's Green is a stroll away at the top of a bustling Grafton Street, where buskers and street entertainment abound. Many cultural centres in Dublin have the added bonus of free admission charge, specifically The National Art Gallery,The Museum of Modern Art, The National Museum of Ireland, to name a few.
Our location in Rathfarnham is unique in that we are only 4 kms from beautiful mountain walks, natural trails and golf courses, while some of the finest beaches in the country can be found in Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow, an hour's drive away.
We are particularly well served with lots of excellent amenities, shopping, transport links, playgrounds and parks.

We are a family that love to travel. My husband, Patrick, is a school principal and I, Aine, am a teacher. We have 3 lovely, well behaved girls,(14, 12 and 9).
We have successfully swapped homes 7 times already with a different organisation but felt we would like a little more choice.
We are very house proud and would treat your home with the utmost respect. We are avid fans of the house exchange idea and have always swapped with very like minded people. We are a very sporty and outdoorsy family and enjoy meeting people. We are very excited at the prospect of new travel experiences.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you will be interested in visiting the shores of the Emerald Isle in the summer of 2013!
