Dunlaoghaire is a Victorian sea-side village with pier and promenade, just 15mins by commuter train to the centre of Dublin. The village has lots of cafes and shops, bars and a multiplex cinema. There is a park with children's playground just around the corner and many good places to swim (if you can brace yourself for the Irish sea) Something about ourselves

Myself and my husband, Sam, are both architects. We have 3 children, two boys aged 21 18 and a daughter who is 12. We live and work in the centre of Dublin and our house is also on this website. Because our children are older, they have plans of their own these days and we cannot always arrange a time to travel together, so this apartment is available when our own house is too difficult to organise. It belongs to my family and is available most of the year and so can be arranged for non-simultaneous exchanges. We have had one exchange already and loved the whole experience, my only regret is that we didn't think of doing this sooner, when our children were younger. Connecting with like-minded people around the world and sharing what you have to offer of your home and country is such a positive way to travel. Eileen ![]()
