Our home is a comfortable family home situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Ballsbridge. The cul-de-sac, which has it's own green area is quiet and private yet is only minutes from all the amenities that you might need.
Upstairs we have three bedrooms, a double (en-suite), the second bedroom has two sleeping areas, one of them a mezzaneine area, a single room and a bathroom.
Downstairs is a large open plan area with kitchen, dining area, computer work area and seating area. We also have a separate sitting room, utility room, downstairs toilet and a playroom in the backgarden. The playroom has some gym equipment as well as a considerable collection of Lego. In the house we also have an Xbox, Wii, games, DVD's etc.
We have a good sized sunny and private back garden with a paved area and bar-b-q. There are five bikes(4 adult size) available and a seven seater car available to swap. Ballsbridge is a very attractive and convenient area with a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. Within walking distance of our home is the new Grand Canal Theatre, the O2 Arena, the new Aviva Stadium in Lansdowne Road, the R.D.S.(Royal Dublin Society) and Herbert Park which is a beautiful park in which to unwind with a large pond area, sports facilities, playgrounds and relaxing walks.
We are served by numberous public bus routes and are 3 minutes walk from the Lansdowne Road DART station(light rail system) which travels along the coast from North Dublin to Co. Wicklow.
Dublin city centre is only a 5 minute bus ride. There you will find Shops, theatres, museums, galleries and many historical sights. Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street are an easy 20 walk away. The American Embassy is a three minute walk away.
Sandymount village, it's strand and the Irishtown Nature Reserve are all within 15 minutes walking distance. There are many interesting day trips within easy reach and the main motorways are easily accessed giving you the opportunity to explore many beautiful locations none of which are more than a few hours away.
Access from Dublin Airport to our house is very easy. The Aircoach service runs every 10 minutes during the day from Dublin Airport and brings you to the Jury's Hotel stop which is approximately 3 minutes walk from our house. We love sport and the outdoors and like to combine warm weather with sight seeing and outdoor activities on our main holidays. We have a preference for seaside or waterside locations or somewhere with access to a pool. We would also be interested in short city breaks during the school breaks.
