We live on the South side, within the canals of Dublin, which defines the centre of the city. I0 minutes walk will take you to the main shopping area, museums, galleries, restaurants etc. The National concert hall is 5 minutes away and there are many shops and cafes around the corner. The canal (which runs from the end of our side street) provides a lovely walk to the Grand Canal Basin and the river Liffey, the city docks and the new Theatre. The city has plenty to offer in terms of theatre, night-life etc, but is also wonderfully situated - in 10 minutes you can drive to the sea and walk the pier, 20 minutes you can be at the beach, in 40 minutes you can be walking in the Wicklow mountains in complete peace. Something about ourselves

We are architects, in our late 40s and live and work from the ground floor of the house. We have 3 children: Two boys aged 18 and 21 and a 12 year old daughter. We lived and worked in New York and Paris before returning to live in Dublin. We are interested in cities and in the natural beauty of the countryside, so we are open to any variety of exchanges. My husband, Sam, is a very keen walker, so Dublin is the perfect mix for him. Eileen ![]()
