Sandymount village is a lovely friendly place with a selection of coffee shops, restaurants, shops and pubs. At its centre is the village green where families meet and children play in quiet safe suroundings. Within a 2 minute walk is the beach, nature reserve and large playing fields. The village is serviced by public buses and DART (light rail system) which travels along the coast from North Dublin to Co Wicklow. Dublin city centre is a 10 minute journey by bus or DART, with its shops, theatres, museums, galleries and many historical sights. Trinity College, Grafton Street and St Stephens Green are an easy 30 min walk if you prefer. Sandymount is an ideal base to visit Dublin and there are many interesting day trips within easy reach. The motorways are a short drive with easy access to the rest of the country, there are many beautiful locations within a few hours drive of our home if you wish to explore our lovely island! Something about ourselves

We are a family of four. My husband is a Human Resources Manager, I am a Bank Manager. We have two children, our daughter is 1 and our son is 12. We all love sport and the outdoors and like to combine warm weather with sight seeing and outdoor activities on our main holidays. We have a preference for seaside or waterside location or somewhere with access to a pool. We also love to take short city trips during the childrens mid-term or Easter holidays. We are tied to the childrens school holidays but are open to offers and will consider all locations! We have done three house swaps, 2008- Los Angeles, 2010 - France and 2011 - Pennsylvania and we really enjoyed all our trips. We are happy to have email contact before our exchange and help in any way to make your stay in Dublin enjoyable. WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR SWAPS DURING SUMMER 2012. ![]()
