Our home is located very close to Reykjavik city center (3 km), in an old and calm neighbourhood. The house stands at the top of a closed street, next to a playground, which makes it ideal for families with young children. Reykjavík’s biggest geothermally heated swimmingpool (Laugardalslaug) and sports arena, Reykjavík's Botanical Gardens, the Family Park and Domestic Animal Zoo are all close to our home (1 km). There is also a variety of museums close by, and Reykjavik's biggest shopping mall (Kringlan) is only 0,5 km away. The countryside is 15 minutes away by car with possibilities for hiking and horsebackriding, the blue lagoon is 40 minutes away, and within 1,5 hours you will find yourself at Geysir geothermal area.

We are Jóhann (computer scientist) and Árný (clinical psycholgist). Our daughters are Gudrún Dís (8), who plays the cello and does gymnastics, and Álfdís (5) who just began playing the violin. They are both well behaved and respectful of other people and their belongings. Our main hobbies are music, skiing, outdoor activities and travelling.

We have two friendly and independent cats, who spend most days outside and enter the laundry room through a "cat door". They can, however, visit a "cat hotel" during your stay, if preferred.
